Similarities between BAHUBALI and 300

The world was stunned watching the Ripped bodies of Spartans, the breathtaking action sequences and the extraordinary VFX in 300and its sequel. Finally, Indian cinema has found its answer to a movie like 300 in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Bahubali’. Bahubali’s trailer surely proves that Indian Cinema has marched a long way and has matched up to the level of Hollywood Films which seemed impossible a few years back.
If you are still finding it hard to believe, we take you through a series of snippets providing a striking resemblance between300 and ‘Bahubali’.
High Octane Action:

300 surely was Big on action, but the trailer of Bahubali surely promises high octane action.Prabhas and Rana are seen seamlessly performing their complex sword fight sequences along with riding horses and battling a number of men single handedly. Bahubali surely will make us experience perfectly planned and designed action sequences, as seen in Hollywood action flicks.
Visual Spectacle:

Bahubali seems to be a visual spectacle. Prabhas leaping from the mountains with a huge waterfall in the backdrop or the creation of a whole new kingdom palace through VFX. The experience is surely going to be spine chilling on the 70mm screen, similar to the Vision of Zak Snyder, our very own SS Rajamouli has spent years in finalizing the VFX and craft it to perfection.
Wicked and Unusually handicapped Character:

Ephialtes of Trachis is one character which comes to mind when you think 300. With one arm handicapped in a very unusual way ‘Bijjaladeva’is India’s answer to Ephialtes of Trachis through ‘Bahubali’. The Character of ‘Bijjaladeva’ is being played by veteran actor Naseer, so the performance will surely be of par excellence.
Glamour:

Tamanna Bhatia is looking stunning in the trailers. Her fans have gone gung ho after watching her in the trailers. She perfectly adds to the glamour factor in between the broody men and comes across as pleasant and pleasing factor amidst all the bloody wars. Tamanna Along with Anushka Shetty perfectly cover up as the much needed glamour factor which was provided by Lena Headey in 300 by playing King Leonidas’s wife.
Patriotism towards Kingdom:

300 has served as a perfect example when it comes to expressing love towards you Kingdom. The patriotic side surely comes out when only 300 Spartans bravely fight against an army of thousands. ‘Bahubali’ on similar lines gives us an idea about Prabhas fighting it out with Rana for his people and Kingdom, but what happens eventually will only be know after watching the movie.
Persona:

This similarity cannot go unnoticed. Prabhas and Rana have gone through rigorous training to get that muscular body. Prabhas and Rana went under 8 dedicated months of training to achieve the perfect look. Prabhas and Rana, who look stunning with their new look surely does stand a chance in front of King Leonidas and his men.

bahubali fisrtsday collections

bahubali collected a record collection of 58-60 crores, throwing the currunt records Attarintiki daredi (10.75Cr) and Dookudu (9.54Cr.) miles away from it

SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali has got an outstanding response across the country. The movie, had witnessed a mind blowing occupancy in cinema halls. While South saw an occupancy of almost 90 to 100% on an average, even the other regions of India had an occupancy of more than 55%

bahubali is remake of Kannada movie mayura??

While the story of  Baahubali has been closely guarded by the makers, rumour has it that there are striking similarities between SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus and Kannada classic

'Mayura'-'Baahubali'
I've not seen Baahubali yet so I feel I'm only "half qualified" to talk this question.
I don't think it's remake of Mayura. Rajamouliuli's father has written a story for a Kannada movie before(if I'm right) and he is also close to our industry.

I've seen other movies of Rajamouli. No doubt he is a very good director but at the sametime there will be "at least" few scenes which are inspires/lifted from other movies.

I don't agree that Magadheera is remake of raja nanna raja. But there is similarity. Also based on few scenes  from one more Kannada movie "H2O"(Where the old man tells the story of their previous births and shows photos for the same), screenplay is constructed for Magadheera.
His one more movie maryada raamanna was inspired by Hollywood flick " Our hospitality " and if rumors were to be believed, it was also inspired by Kannada movie "Balagaalittu olage Baa". There were controversies for his other movie "Eega" as well.

So there's a chance that he might have been inspired by "Mayura"(story wise), but telling it as remake is big a "No" from my side. He is a well established director and lets not defame him
